- 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of dried parsley
- 1 tablespoon of basil
- 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon of red wine vinegar
Blend all the ingredients together and pour the dressing into a jar. This recipe yields about 1 cup of balsamic vinaigrette.
2. Green Goddess Dressing
Next up, we have a homemade version of Green Goddess dressing.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 cup of mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
- 3/4 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/8 teaspoon of pepper
- 7 green onions
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth, and you’ll have a delicious Green Goddess dressing. This recipe also yields about 1 cup of dressing.

3. French Dressing
For those who love a tangy French dressing, here’s a homemade version you’ll enjoy:
- 1 cup of avocado oil or vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup of ketchup
- 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of onion salt (or half a teaspoon each of onion salt and garlic powder)
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of mustard
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder (or taco seasoning for a milder flavor)
Blend all the ingredients together, and you’ll have a flavorful French dressing.
This recipe makes just over one pint of dressing.
4. Classic Ranch Dressing
No salad dressing collection is complete without a classic ranch dressing!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 and 1/2 cups of mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of dill weed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Blend all the ingredients together until creamy, and you’ll have a delicious homemade ranch dressing.
This recipe yields about a pint of dressing.
5. Classic Italian Dressing
Last but not least, we have a classic Italian dressing.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1/3 cup of red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
- 3/4 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- 3/4 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/8 teaspoon of pepper
- A sprinkle of Parmesan cheese
Blend all the ingredients together, and you’ll have a flavorful Italian dressing.
This recipe makes about a cup of dressing.
