Pear Pancakes

This pear pancake recipe is one our make-ahead “meal in a jar or bag” recipes.

I usually prep 4-5 jars for quick dinners or weekend breakfasts throughout the following months. To the contents of the bag, you just add water, oil, eggs (if you don’t want to use egg powder), and pear butter/sauce.

But we’ll give you some ideas below for what you can use instead if you don’t have the pear sauce.

Tips for Making Pear Pancakes

Even though we make these with pear butter, you can use applesauce—or any fruit puree that is a similar consistency.

In a pinch, you could even toss a can of canned fruit into your blender to form a sauce, and use that.

The bagged mix contains egg powder, but sometimes I leave it out and just add 2 fresh eggs when adding the liquid ingredients.

If you can fruit preserves such as strawberry, blueberry, pear, or others, this is an excellent dish to use them as a topping.

If you prefer video, there is a video tutorial at the end of this post. Enjoy!
