  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 7 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups whole rolled oats
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk powder

Instructions

  1. Place the whole rolled oats into a food processor.
  2. Process the oats until they reach a finer grain consistency, resembling instant oats.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the processed oats with coconut sugar, salt, and milk powder.
  4. Mix thoroughly, breaking up any clumps of coconut sugar.
  5. The base mix is now ready to be portioned and transformed into various flavors. For single servings, add 1 cup of this base mix to each pint jar or baggie.
  6. To flavor, add 1/4 cup of dried fruit of your choice, and 1 tsp of spice of your choice (i.e. cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, etc.)  See flavor ideas in the “Notes” below.
  7. When ready to cook, dump a single jar into a pot, add 1 1/2 cups water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, turn off the heat, place the lid, and let sit for 5 minutes. It’s now ready to serve!

  4. Mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
