- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 stick butter, room temperature
Instructions
To Make the Dry Mix
- Mix all dry ingredients together, and store in a glass jar until ready for use.
To Make Fruit Cobbler
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Dump your dry mix into a bowl. Cut up a stick of butter (room temperature), and add to your bowl. Using your fingers, mix the butter into the dry mix until you achieve a uniform, crumbly consistency.
- Pour half of the mixture into the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish, and press to form a solid layer.
- Add 2 cups of any kind of fruit, jam, or jelly. Spread evenly onto the bottom crumb layer. We love combining a cup of pear jam with a cup of cubed pears. A layer of strawberry jam with fresh chopped strawberries is delicious as well!
- Sprinkle the remaining half of the dry mix on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
