This creamy Everything Bagel Dip takes just 5 minutes to make and tastes like your favorite Sunday brunch in dip form.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: About 2 cups (serves 8-10) 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the dip:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning, plus more for topping
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For serving:

  • Bagel chips, pita chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables

Instructions

  1. Make sure your cream cheese is actually soft. If you forgot to take it out of the fridge, microwave it for 15-20 seconds, but watch it—you want soft, not melted.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise together until smooth. A hand mixer makes this easier, but a fork and some determination works too.
  3. Add the everything bagel seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well combined and you can see the seasonings distributed throughout.
  4. Stir in the fresh chives and lemon juice. The lemon brightens everything up and keeps it from tasting too heavy.
  5. Taste it. This is important. Add more seasoning if you want it bolder, or a pinch of salt if it needs it (though the everything bagel seasoning usually has plenty).
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and sprinkle extra everything bagel seasoning on top. This makes it look professional and gives people an idea of what they’re about to eat.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This lets the flavors meld together. If you’re in a rush, you can serve it immediately, but it’s better after it’s had time to sit.
  8. Serve with bagel chips, crackers, pita chips, or cut-up vegetables. Carrots and bell peppers are surprisingly good with this.
