A cold, blended twist on apple pie made with vanilla ice cream, apple pie filling, and cinnamon.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the frappe:

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup apple pie filling, plus a little extra for topping
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the graham cracker rim (optional):

  • 2 tablespoons graham crackers, finely crushed
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce or honey

To finish (optional):

  • Whipped cream
  • A pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. If you want the rim, start there. Spread the caramel sauce or honey on a shallow plate and the crushed graham crackers on another.
  2. Dip the rim of each glass into the caramel, then press it into the graham crumbs so they stick. Set the glasses aside.
  3. Add the vanilla ice cream, apple pie filling, milk, and cinnamon to a blender.
  4. Blend until smooth and thick. If it’s too thick to pour, add a splash more milk and pulse again.
  5. Pour the frappe into your glasses.
  6. Top each one with a spoonful of the extra apple pie filling, a swirl of whipped cream, and a pinch of cinnamon if you like.
  7. Serve right away, while it’s still cold and thick.
