  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Savory Components:

  • 8 oz aged cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 6 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
  • 6 oz salami, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz prosciutto
  • 6 oz turkey or ham, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds)
  • 1/2 cup cornichons or small pickles
  • 1/2 cup olives (green and Kalamata mix)

For the Sweet Components:

  • 1 tube refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 3 medium Honeycrisp apples
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 8 oz chocolate-covered pretzels
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup fresh grapes (red and green)
  • 2 pears, sliced
  • 1/2 cup honey

For Assembly:

  • Crackers (variety of shapes and flavors)
  • Small bowls for dips and spreads
  • Cheese knives and small spoons

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to cinnamon roll package directions. Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters to create bite-sized pieces.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before adding to the board.
  3. Wash and dry all fresh fruits thoroughly. Cut apples into wedges and immediately toss with a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
  4. Slice pears just before serving to maintain freshness. Arrange grapes in small clusters for easy grabbing.
  5. Choose a large wooden board, marble slab, or even a clean kitchen island as your foundation. You want plenty of space to spread everything out.
  6. Place small bowls around the board first – these will hold your caramel sauce, honey, pickles, and olives.
  7. Start with your largest cheese pieces first. Fan out the brie slices and create small piles of cheddar cubes.
  8. Crumble goat cheese into a small bowl or directly onto the board in designated spots.
  9. Fold salami slices in half and arrange in overlapping rows. Roll or fold prosciutto into loose rosettes.
  10. Layer turkey or ham slices and fan them out near complementary cheeses.
  11. Scatter the warm cinnamon roll bites around the board while they’re still slightly warm. Place chocolate-covered pretzels in clusters.
  12. Add dried cranberries to fill small gaps, and arrange fresh fruits in the remaining spaces.
  13. Tuck crackers into any open areas, standing some up vertically for visual interest. Sprinkle nuts throughout the board.
  14. Drizzle caramel over apple slices and place honey near the cheese sections. Add small spoons to any liquid accompaniments.
