The vast majority of ingredients in this cookbook are common kitchen staples like flour, sugar, seasonings, etc.
There are a few items— like powdered milk, cheese powder, buttermilk powder, and arrowroot powder— that may be less common. Links are provided inside the book for easy sourcing.
I batch prep these mixes assembly-line style, typically preparing 4 jars at a time. It takes me around 10 minutes. For the mixes that are only one jar, it takes about 5 minutes.

Shelf-life is highly dependent on the environment in which they are stored. I can only share what I've experienced in my kitchen. I use my make-ahead mixes within 6 months, and I've never had a jar go bad. If you vacuum seal the jars, they should last up to a year or more when stored in a moderately cool, dry, dark place.
