This delightful dessert combines tender, caramelized peaches with a buttery, crispy topping for a treat that’s both simple to make and irresistibly delicious.

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6-8 medium-sized fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • Optional: a pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish (around 9×13 inches) with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the peeled and sliced peaches with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix well to coat the peaches evenly. Pour the peach mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt (if using). Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the crisp topping evenly over the peaches in the baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  5. Allow the peach crisp to cool slightly before serving.
