Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 6-8 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Gala work well)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ½ cup chopped toasted pecans or walnuts (optional)
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Cut apples into thin wedges and place in a large bowl. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning and arrange on a serving platter.
- In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and begins to bubble gently.
- Add the softened cream cheese to the saucepan. Whisk continuously until completely smooth and no lumps remain, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. The mixture should be smooth and creamy.
- Gradually whisk in the caramel sauce until fully incorporated. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Transfer the warm dip to a serving bowl. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts and mini chocolate chips over the top for extra texture and flavor.
- Serve immediately while warm with the prepared apple slices. The dip can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
